ADOPT A RABBIT!

Thank you for your interest in adopting a rabbit. When you adopt instead of buy a rabbit you are saving precious lives that would otherwise have been lost.

Our adoption center "The Burrow" has lots of rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs and other small and furries waiting for their forever homes. If you are interested in adopting please come by. We also have a fully stocked store with everything you need. Buying from our store helps us support lots of homeless animals.

All our rabbits are spayed or neutered and litter box trained and just waiting for a home of their own. Click here to read our Bunny Basics about rabbit care.

We ask for a donation of $85 for a single rabbit and $125 for a bonded pair. This helps cover the cost of the spay or neuter. This is much cheaper than buying a rabbit, since most spay or neuters are over $150. It is important to have a rabbit spayed or neutered even if you have just have one, to help prevent cancer and bad behavior such as spraying urine and being territorial.

To adopt a rabbit you can fill out our online adoption application or print and mail/fax an application, or come to one of our weekend adoption events. Below you will see lots of lovely rabbits available for adoption listed by area. Some rabbits are marked "High Risk". that means due to lack of space we are unable to take this rabbit in to our foster program. We post their photos on our site in hopes of getting them a home. As soon as we adopt a foster rabbit we are able to rescue another.

For all your rabbit supply needs shop at www.BunnyBunchBoutique.com and help us support the rabbits.

Sadie
(black bun) and Maddie (Angora bun with hair cut) are sweet girl buns that love each other and are about 3-4 years old. They were rescued from an Orange County shelter years ago where they had been separated by accident. They were very sad but some rescuers realized that they were a bonded pair and re-united them and they have been together ever since. They really love each other and would love a forever home where they can spend their days with each and have human love too. They like being petted but are not keen on being picked up. Their new foster mom is trying to work with them on this. They love their hay as well as their parsley! Maddie needs to be brushed frequently due to her special fur so that she does not get mats. Jerry & Snow White
(OR)These two lops are as sweet as can be. Click here to fill out an adoption form.

Romeo
is an adult male rex. He was rescued from the Newland Shelter. What a delightful boy! Click here to fill out an adoption form. TB

Lacey
- young, medium sized, spayed female. Lacey was one of the last bunnies taken from the Garden Grove Pond rescue. She is a bit skittish, as a lot of the pond bunnies are. She has already calmed down a lot since being in foster care. She is a loving rabbit to the others in the group. She is a beautiful rabbit with a special personality. Lacey currently lives in a group environment and must be adopted out with another bunny from the group. (VC)

Sassy (SM)
should be the poster child for why everyone should get their bunny spayed! This beautiful lady made quite the transformation from angry, scared, and hormonal, to calm, and somewhat trusting in a matter of days after her spay surgery. It's incredible how much she has come around in such a short time. When Sassy was dumped at the pound by people who were moving, she would grunt and run away from people. She was likely abused, or at least neglected and mistreated. Now, she LOVES to get head scratches and gets excited when someone approaches her with veggies in hand. Not just that, once you stop petting her, she'll express her displeasure by thumping her foot to try to get you to continue loving her! She is definitely not an easy bonder, so if you only want to adopt one bunny, Sassy is the girl for you. This three year-old Siamese beauty weighs approximately six pounds and is litter box trained. If you would like to foster or adopt this sweet, Sassy girl, please contact bunnystuff@hotmail.com.

Tangerine and Clementine
(SM) are twin orange Lop girls who are waiting to be rescued from the pound. These babies were owner-surrendered by a woman whose daughter had moved away and therefore was no longer caring for her rabbits. Poor sweet girls found themselves in a scary place with dogs barking just across the way. They're lovely five-pound Lops who deserve a loving, indoor home. Please contact bunnystuff@hotmail.com if you can rescue these six month old babies. Click here to fill out an adoption form.

Margo
is a pretty Rex girl. She is adorable and loves to play with her toys. Margo is overweight, so she needs a lot of space to exercise and a strict diet of mostly hay. Additionally, she is very shy and needs someone who can be patient as she learns to trust humans. At this time, an experienced bunny home without children would be best for Margo, because she has bitten in the past when frightened. However, she has made a lot of progress in this area since being removed from the shelter, and we are sure she will continue to come out of her shell and be a very sweet bunny over time. We estimate her age to be around 3 years old.

Trevor
(TB) This cute little guy was just rescued from a shelter. He was covered in pee, had fleas, overgrown nails and an abscess. As you can see he is now enjoying a great diet, toys and lots of playtime. His abscess was probably from another rabbit biting him. Once he is better he will be ready for a home of his own. Click here to fill out an adoption form

37 bunnies were rescued from an apartment building. The maintenance man and manager of the building had been raising the bunnies to sell to downtown Los Angeles for food and fur. The SPCALA to come out, and told the maintenance man/ manager that they were allowed to have as many bunnies as they wanted and they could eat them. The people who eventually have taken in these buns also said that the bunnies were kept in horrible condition-unsafe and filthy living areas, mesh line that bound the bunnies together and chemical burns that burned a portion of some of their ears off and burned their little bodies. The officer refused to come and look at the baby bunnies. A complaint was filed with the SPCALA. So far, only six have been placed in safe, responsible homes.

These people are trying there best to find homes for all of these cute babies. Two of the female bunnies gave birth. One had seven bunnies, another eight. The rescuers were not aware they were pregnant. These kind rescuers will be evicted from their apartment if they don't find homes for the bunnies. They can't find an apartment that will take them with over 30 bunnies. And they also can't afford to move. These bunnies time is running out. They are all very playful, active loving and affectionate bunnies. You can see some of the cute bunnies below. Click here to fill out an adoption form.

Sir Lancelot – had sores all over his entire back when he came in from the Garden Grove Pond Rescue. They have all healed except for one small patch of dry skin. He was either attacked by a predator, or just subject to continual attack by other rabbits at the pond. Most likely because of this he is a little skittish. He was living with a sweet girl while he recovered, and now has been introduced back into a group. Click here to fill out an adoption form.

Pepsi and Buster
(VE) were enjoying their life as a happily married couple in a bunnyproofed home until their guardian became ill and suddenly had to undergo open heart surgery. She was devastated to lose her bunnies, but the doctors told her it was a matter of life or death, so, with her heart literally breaking, she returned them to us. All she wants is for Buster and Pepsi to find a loving home in which they can be loved as much as she loved them. We found them a home, but they were returned again three months later, due to no fault of their own. If you can provide a true forever home, please contact bunnystuff@hotmail.com Buster is a former classroom bunny who was dumped at the pound before he was rescued. He's a friendly English Spot cross who weighs about seven pounds and loves to lounge around... this boy is truly a couch potato. Pepsi is a black MiniLop who weighs about five pounds and loves to investigate. She'll run circles around Buster and enjoy performing binkies for you. This couple will make you laugh and bring happiness into your life. Click here to fill out an adoption form.

This playboy will run off with your heart before you know it's missing, and when he's trailing your every step, his happiness makes the littlest apartment seem as spacious as a palace. It is our hope that through the kindness of other rabbit lovers we can offer some assistance with Magic's medical bills. Click here to fill out an adoption form.(BW)

Rosie
is a beautiful girl. Her head and ears are light gray that fades to white on her back. She is a former Irvine Shelter resident who had to leave because of her special needs. She has a bad back like a lot of us humans. It makes her hop funny, but she has no trouble getting around. She needs to be a house rabbit on an absorbent surface because she sometimes misses the litter box, then sits down in her puddle. She has a voracious appetite, so she needs a home where the humans will keep her slim and trim. She also needs a yard or patio for getting exercise that will keep her back healthy. Because she’s slower than other rabbits, she is easy to catch. She loves being petted and will sit with you as long as you want. Click here to fill out an adoption form.

Rosemary
(VE) is a cute, little youngster, but she's likely going to be a big, beautiful New Zealand girl when she grows up. This poor baby was just an itty bitty bunny when she was bailed out of the pound in the summer of 2007. Her life was probably quite scary back then but she's turning into such a funny little thing. She loves to do her binkies in her foster home and she's using her litter box. She has been spayed and is now available for adoption so if you'd like to continue raising this wonderful ruby-eyed beauty, please email bunnystuff@hotmail.com for more information.

Notredame
(VE) is now bonded to Little White Bunny. He is a handsome little Hotot who was rescued from Garden Grove. He had a huge abscess on his back which made him look like a hunchback, hence his name. During his neuter, Notredame's abscess was removed by one of our bunny vets and now Notredame is healthy and happy, thanks to a dedicated volunteer who medicated him and pampered him after his surgery. Notredame still needs some socialization so he would do best in a quiet home, where he can be loved from afar until he gets to know his humans. Little White Bunny (LWB) has helped Notredame feel safe and loved. LWB doesn't look so little next to her new tiny husbunn, but they are both small rabbits who fell in love right away. She knows what it's like to have a bit of a defect. She was bitten in the nose by another rabbit so she has a little nose flap :( These two are so in love and are constantly kissing each other.
